I’m 30.
I lived in Ohio for 26 of my years, Utah for 3, and spent some time in Illinois before landing in Nashville on May 6, 2010.
I love Jesus, reading, writing, photography, music [especially live], laughter, people, and being outdoors/in nature
I like dogs and not cats.
I’m pretty introverted, but if I’m among friends I get loud and animated and I talk with my hands way too much. I’m klutzy and I have been known to trip over a parking curb, or over my own feet, or spill things (usually while gesturing excitedly). But that’s me… the unedited, graceless, clumsy, excitable, sometimes foolish, messy me. I’m basically a Labrador retriever puppy. Except I’m house trained and don’t drool as much. Usually.
Peanut butter + chocolate is my greatest vice. (Or maybe bacon.)
I love my life, and everyone in it. I am immensely blessed by amazing friendships, friendships of which I am not worthy (Example: I wrote thank you cards two weeks ago that still need to be mailed). I am in such a good place right now, in pretty much every way. My heart is happy and at home in the South.
Life is crazy, difficult, filled with surprises, ups and downs, highs and lows, middles, in-betweens, and wait-and-sees. But it is good. God is good. I’m looking to my future with great hope, but also very much enjoying the here and now. I’m breathing deep, not rushing forward and not looking back, but taking each day as it comes. It “might could” be the South rubbin’ off on me, y’all. (And I love it.) Pass me some sweet tea, point me to a rocking chair, and let’s watch the sunset, nice and slow-like.
I do not have it all figured out. And that is okay.
